JAKIN is a non - governmental organization that seeks to improve our society by creating a neutral and conducive atmosphere for resources to be generated for charity while they are simultaneously channeled to the less privileged. Our focus is to raise funds not only by seeking donations but also from income realized from fund raising ideas such as jumble sales, charity shops and items we produce or brand. Our mission also include bridging the gap between excesses and shortages by collecting various used items from kind hearted individuals and distributing them to the less privileged.

Success Stories

34 years old blind Iya Anu lost her sight at the age of 20. She was abandoned with a few months old baby by her husband who also eloped with her first child. The baby Aanu was brought back from school at the age of 4, his teacher complained that he was writting upside down. After several eye tests, he was confirmed permanently blind. They were sleeping on a corridor when Jakin discovered them, today Jakin has paid for an accomodation for them, Iya Anu was enrolled into a handcraft school for the blind were she graduated a`year`after, and Anu now 9 yrs old was enrolled into Pacelli School for the blind were he is already in Primary 2. Now Iya anu can fend for herself and her son from bags, slippers, key holders and many other products she makes. Jakin is still sponsoring Anu to school.
